I love to go antiquing…especially to look for vintage Christmas. Today I was on the hunt for “Kenny Bernice.” When I was a toddler we had a stuffed Santa from Rich’s Department Store whom I named “Kenny Bernice.” Crazy name, huh?! Gotta love the mind of a small child. Kenny was my buddy and was always a fixture in our annual Christmas decor. Over the years, sadly we lost him. This year (nearly 43 years later) I remembered him and decided I wanted to find another one. This morning, I walked into one of our local antique stores and found what looks a whole lot like my long lost friend (this one is from 1988 so he’s a little younger). My parents snuck around and managed to buy him for me while I was still in the store. What are the odds of finding him 2 days before Christmas? I guess it was meant to be. I also snagged a few other cute Christmas pieces. Today was fun!
