Our sweet Lucy has crossed over the rainbow bridge last night. She was 12 years young and a joy! She was a birthday present to me when she was only 8 weeks old. I mothered her to death! She slept next to me every night! She came into my life at the perfect time and when I needed her most. She quickly became everyone’s best friend! Then I met Kevin and forced him to love her. Then I had two kids and she mothered them! She was well loved and adored! We all have a Lucy shaped hole in our hearts now. 💖💖

It’s my 6th wedding anniversary AND Mother’s Day! Who I am and have become and what I work towards is because of this woman. My mother is my best friend and therapist. She taught me the ropes of being a gracious wife and mother because she was the perfect example of joy and grace! Happy Mother’s Day! 💖💖 And to the man that became a parent with me, you are my soulmate that I can always count on no matter the journey at hand! Your love for me and our family has never wavered. We decked the halls outside!!! I’ve been working on it for days…which sounds like some masterpiece. But I’ve only done little bits during nap times! I’ve decided just to post more frequently in my little squares and to hell with the algorithm. Because being afraid to post at all because it wasn’t perfect isn’t doing any good either. So here’s to more, imperfections and all! I realized that I had never really shared much about our recent backyard transformation! We basically completely gutted our backyard! And by we, I mean that did it ALL!!! They took us down to dirt and built our backyard back with a new fence, beautiful sod, faux turf, pavers, and lighting!! We absolutely adore it and we are out here every single day!!! I have more details I plan to add, but we are enjoying the transformation so far!! 🏡💖

Thankful for the end of the year to be able to reflect on the past but remain hopeful for the new year to come! 2023 was hard for me both emotionally and mentally. Having two children under two hit me like a ton of bricks! Overwhelmed with LOVE but also just plain OVERWHELMED! However towards the end of this past year, I began to peel back the emotions and work on myself! I want to be the best mom, wife, daughter, and friend! In order for me to give to others, I’ve got to fill my own empty cup first. So here’s to focusing on more of things I love in 2024!! More of my babies, more of my family, and more beautiful projects!! Here’s my absolute favorite project I completed in 2023…our primary bedroom! Complete with floral wallpaper, scalloped headboard, green painted floors, and sweet little baby cuddles in the bed! 🏠+💖
