What. A. Day! Suffice it to say I am wildly exhausted, but buzzing with the fun of this wonderful community that never fails to disappoint! A very full day at the Red Rock Arts Festival in a booth with my buddies and .studio in our mixed-media creative corner (Globemallow theme for the win). Inspired by a favorite native desert plant of my friend Kara (owner of Wildland Scapes Nursery here in Moab- go check them out!!), Indian Ricegrass is the next species to gain a feature in my desert flora series! Amazingly adapted and a great sign of a healthy desert ecosystem, Indian Ricegrass grows happily in sand, shimmies in the breeze, and is just damn adorable (everyone agrees). Next time you’re on a hike, give it a little tussle and bring a smile to your face 🥰.
