- Today our daughter turned 18, I can hardly believe it! Typically I make her a piece of jewelry as a birthday gift each year, and this year I wanted it to be an extra special piece, since she may not be home for her birthday next year. This carved quartz moon has been set a side for her for a while, I actually wanted to make her a piece for Christmas with it, but that didn’t happen. As I often say, I’m happy I waited, because if I had used this stone to make something back in December it wouldn’t have been this, and I feel like this is what it needed to be.
