Scroll up and you’ll see that the largest Yogo I've posted in the last two years was .26 carats. Most are much smaller. I had to go to my New York City safe deposit box this morning to pick up a gold coin, and I walked out carrying a nice Yogo Sapphire to ‘re-home.’ This classic cornflower blue .47 carat fully faceted oval Yogo measures 5.62 x 4.11 x 2.41 mm. To light up this special Yogo, I’m including four (4) round brilliant cut natural earth-grown diamonds, .13 carats, total weight. (I didn’t want this Yogo to travel alone).

I scoured the Internet because I want to be generous … but I don’t want to be stupid ;) The least expensive comparable Yogo I found was smaller and it sold for $1200. Another one, with a buff-top (less desirable), sold for more! If you’re a client, friend, or family, I’ll let this Yogo and her diamond sidekicks go for $848, including insured United Parcel Service delivery to your door.

Put it in a solitaire. Pack it away for a grandkid or special niece. Yogos this size have gone nowhere but up: this is one tangible investment that shouldn’t give you the blues. Contact me for payment instructions if you’re interested.

This collection of five small, absolutely saturated violet ‘flaxseed’ marquise Yogos and six earth-grown round brilliant cut diamonds (from vintage rings) would make a stunning delicate band — or keep them in a display case to show off to guests and grandkids.

These five rare Yogos total .44 carats, total weight; the six tiny diamonds are .05 carats, total weight. If I blew on the scale I could make it .50 ctw., but let's be honest, these gems weigh exactly .49 ctw.

Three treats in one!

This layout includes a spiffy .26 carat step cut blue Yogo sapphire center (5.36 x 3.12 x 1.25 mm.), four rare intense violet flaxseed (marquise) Yogos (.16 carats, total weight), and four round brilliant cut earth-grown diamonds that tip the scales at .11 carats, total weight. That’s just over a half carat, or .54 ctw. of diamonds and Yogos.

I'm disappointed my iPhone camera isn't capturing the intensity of the violet Yogos. Their hue is very intense -- especially for such small Yogos! You will not be disappointed.

When I sell my remaining small Yogos and diamonds, I can’t help but put a few aside. “I may need these someday.” Inevitably, a few months later, I’m contemplating another edit. “Why am I saving these when someone can enjoy them? I'm never setting up jewelry again and I no longer have a goldsmith!"

Anyone in the jewelry biz will tell you there’s something both poignant and satisfying about empty gem parcel papers.

This display clears out my 2.6 mm. round Yogo parcel: these were among the largest round Yogos remaining in my collection. These nine (9)diamond-cut Yogos total .77 carats total weight. Retail is at least $100 per Yogo.

Wow, there are lots of 'friends of felines' out there! I've picked up more than a few followers since I posted the auction item for Pet PawSee earlier today.
Every now and then I post an explanation of how this page works.
I owned a wholesale jewelry and gem brokerage for 23 years. I shuttered my shop and left Montana ten years ago. Since then, I've been slowly liquidating my inventory TO FRIENDS, FAMILY, and FORMER CLIENTS. I cannot compete with the mom and pop jewelry stores who used to be my best clients! I am not “in business” — I am merely selling loose gems from my collection to people I know and trust.
Though I sell ONLY to friends, family and former clients, I've kept this page public because once in awhile, a former client stumbles onto it, a relative needs jewelry advice, etc. I’m kinda like USAA insurance: you must be a family member, a former client, or a personal friend to purchase from me. I don't like to turn people down, but this is the deal I made with my retail clientele. I will not take business from them.
I take great joy in knowing my stash is being shared with friends, family and former clients who share a passion for Yogos.

These spring blossoms have been plucked. This collection is SOLD. Thanks for looking!

Whether you’re looking to design an asymmetric fashion ring, funky ‘mirror image’ earrings, a fancy band, flower pendants, or to accent an existing piece of jewelry, this delicate collection is versatile and unique.

Here’s the breakdown: One .15 carat fancy triangular Yogo and five round brilliant cut earth-grown diamonds; one .03 carat bright violet Yogo and 5 = .20 ctw. flaxseed (marquise) earth-grown diamonds; and one .02 carat earth-grown diamond with 5 = .31 ctw. Just for fun! This parcel of Yogo sapphire rough is not suitable for cutting into gemstones, but it’s a marvelous collectible for any Yogo lover.

I have also seen these rough gems mounted, as is, into jewelry and crafts. If you are into crystals, these are as pure as they get. From Yogo Gulch to you: no chemicals, no heat, no cutting.

I carefully weighed this parcel weigh 4.06 carats — a tip of the hat to Montana’s area code. ONLY if you’re a friend, a family member or a former client of Big Sky Gold, this collection is yours for $77, including UPS shipping (it raised my cost, but I can no longer use the Post Office: they lost two parcels this year and have denied both claims despite my paying for insurance on these shipments. I’m awaiting appeals).

delicate layout of Yogos and diamonds reminds me of the tiny bluish-purple and white Spring bulbs with leaves that look like blades of grass.

These gems would make a lovely ring, pendant, stacker, or custom design.

These ten (10) Yogo sapphires weigh .40 carats and range from pure violet to light blue ; the ten (10) round brilliant cut diamonds are all earth-grown (not lab grown) and tip the scales at .15 ctw. That’s .55 ctw. total gem weight. Forgive me for not being able to lay them out in a perfect circle, but you get the idea :)
