We first shared this brand new locket with you back in March, and then that night two dudes broke in to our studio and stole all our Teardrops, plus a lot of other beautiful things.
For me personally, that crime was the third violating event in just two months. All three creating pivots and redirections and urgency that required me to sit inside incessant discomfort, and invited me to lean in harder to the Locket Sisters, to my family, to my community.
I can tell I’m a starting to exit whatever that seven-month stint of chaos was, and enter the softer one that only churning can create, as it chips away at sharp edges and gripping and fear until, finally, a release — creating surrender in even the harshest conditions.
But the thing I’m learning about surrender is that it’s also somehow the path of least resistance. To get here, to this part of me within, I find myself returning to love again, and again, and again. It is the hardest thing I do — and the easiest.
This is the Teardrop Locket: Something beautiful and magnificent, tiny but heavy, underrated yet magnetic — a little locket that holds it all. The thing within that keeps us going.
Whatever path you’re navigating, may you, too, keep going forward.
