Don’t get me wrong, tips are great and if you feel called to leave one I appreciate it more than you know

Something just as, if not more, important than the actual tattooing…AFTERCARE

Part 1 Cleaning
• Your tattoo will be covered with a second skin dressing (if you don’t have an adhesive allergy). This can be left on for 2-5 days and should be removed like a command strip-pull down slowly don’t rip
• Next clean with an alcohol and fragrance free liquid soap. Get it soapy and rub in circular motions gently. I recommend Dial Gold or Dr. Bronners unscented
• Then either air or pat dry. Use a paper towel or a fresh clean wash cloth. Do not use a washcloth that has been used, these hold and trap bacteria. You don’t want that in a fresh wound aka tattoo
• Finally moisturize with a tattoo balm. This should be applied 3-5 times a day in a very light thin layer. You can over moisturize. I recommend cocoa butter, lubriderm, or I will have a homemade tattoo balm I make and use available for purchase (available in chapstick size tubes, 1 and 2 oz roll ons. All the good healing ingredients without the filler junk, fragrances, or petroleum. Just clean natural organic ingredients)
*aquaphor is a commonly recommended product also. I find most people use too much however and this petroleum product can suffocate your tattoo that needs to breath when using too much

Did your new tattoo dressing look great at first but now it’s the next day or 2 and it’s blurry like the ink is spreading? Totally normal don’t panic you didn’t mess it up!

Also known as second skin, saniderm, tegaderm, barrier dressings are a breathable waterproof way for your tattoo to start healing. The dressing helps prevent scabbing caused from dryness, friction, scratching, etc. Decrease in scabbing means accelerated healing.

The blur is just a little bit of excess blood, plasma, and a little extra ink.

Although it’s normal there are some abnormal things to look for
1. If it is leaking out the edges or has large air pockets. Just think if the fluid can get out, bacteria can get in. Bacteria loves moist warm environments
2. Intense redness, pain, or swelling (some initially may be normal but shouldn’t continue, get worse or spread)
3. Rash or hives from adhesive (I ask about adhesive allergies in your consent but you may not know)
4. Anything colored like yellow or green pus-think infection

In the case of any of these simply remove the dressing as instructed and begin the cleaning moisturizing instructions.

2 lines…So Much Meaning

One thing about crosses like this in the fine line style… there is zero room for error. Every slight deviation from that line shows like a bright red flashing sign. Your hand control can not falter. So while to many this looks like the simplest easiest tattoo it’s quite the opposite.

Really proud of this one and she sat like a boss!

Storms always bring beauty, even the most damaging ones. Sometimes we just have to look a little harder to find what God shows us after a storm.

Starting this journey and this business was a giant leap of faith and has been met with a lot of storms/challenges but I’m finally starting to see the beauty and Gods grace in allowing me to do this and be with my babies while they grow while doing something that brings me joy.

Thanks to him and everyone who believes in me and sticks with me through the storms! And thanks to Meredyth for allowing me to do this and bringing this idea to life!
