Today isn’t a box to check on a social media calendar. September 11th deserves more than that.

Twenty-five years ago, 2,977 people woke up on an ordinary Tuesday morning && never came home. America watched the unthinkable unfold in real time.

We watched the towers burn and fall in New York. We watched the Pentagon attacked.
We learned of four planes hijacked in our own skies.

&& on Flight 93, ordinary Americans — passengers and crew members who understood what was happening — made an extraordinary decision. They fought back!!

They knew another attack was likely coming. They knew what standing up to those hijackers could cost them, && they did it anyway. Their courage helped keep that plane from ever reaching its intended target.

That is part of September 11th, too.

So are the firefighters who climbed while everyone else was coming down. The police officers, paramedics who ran toward devastation. The service members who responded at the Pentagon. The strangers who carried strangers. The families who waited for phone calls that would never come.

September 11th showed us the absolute worst humanity was capable of — and almost immediately, some of the very best.

Courage. Sacrifice. Selflessness. Faith.

There were flags everywhere. There were prayers everywhere. Neighbors took care of neighbors. Strangers helped strangers.
&& for just a moment, the things that divided us became much smaller than the country that united us.

That is the part we refuse to let fade with time.
Because America isn’t just a flag hanging outside the shop or a word printed across a shirt.

America is the firefighter climbing the stairs.
The first responder running toward danger.
The service member answering the call.
The passenger who stood up and said, in effect, not on our watch. It is ordinary people finding extraordinary courage when somebody else needs them.

Today, we remember New York. The Pentagon. Shanksville.

We remember every life taken. Every family forever changed. Every hero who ran toward danger. && every person who fought back.

We remember what September 11th took from America — but we also remember what September 12th reminded us America was made of.

Hard to break.
Quick to help.
Willing to fight for one another.
Proud to stand together.
And damn sure proud to be American.

May we never need another tragedy to remember that.

Around here, the job doesn’t stop just because it’s Saturday or Sunday. If one of our customers needs equipment moved, swapped, picked up, delivered, or something fixed on location, we take care of it. That’s part of doing business in the oilfield.

I’ve always believed you earn a customer’s trust by being there when it actually matters — not just when it’s convenient. Anybody can provide service during normal business hours. What separates you is what happens after hours, on weekends, and when somebody calls needing help right now.

If we tell you we’re going to take care of you, we mean it. Keep the equipment moving. Keep the job running. Take care of your people. That’s how we do business at AER.

🎉 Happy Birthday to the man behind AER — MB! 🎉

Anyone who knows MB knows he doesn’t do anything halfway. Over the years, he has poured his vision, expectations, relationships, & unmistakable personality into Advanced Equipment Rental. He has a way of making people believe bigger, move faster, take chances, and find a way forward even when the answer isn’t obvious.

What started as a business has grown into something much bigger — a team, a reputation, lasting relationships across the industry, && a company people know will show up when it matters. MB has never been afraid of pressure, risk, change, or doing things differently when he believes there is a better way. Around here, “good enough” has never really been part of the vocabulary, && neither has quitting when things get hard.

A lot has changed over the years, but one thing hasn’t — MB is always looking toward what’s next. Today, we celebrate the man who started it, the people who have helped build it alongside him, and everything still ahead for AER.
