Before you panic 😵‍💫 this is called metallic abrasion and it’s completely normal, especially as we head into the warmer months!

Metallic abrasion happens when metal rubs against sweat or products on your skin like lotions, soaps, makeup, self tanner, etc. Tiny particles mix together and can leave a gray/black mark on the skin. It most commonly appears underneath your permanent anklets.

This is NOT your jewelry tarnishing or “turning your skin green!” Even the highest quality jewelry can experience this depending on your skin chemistry, products, sweat, and daily wear.

Notice how the ring itself is still completely normal colored? 👀

A quick wash and you’re good to go💖

Obviously not my typical content, but thought I’d share my two worlds colliding✨

Many of you may know (or maybe you don’t 🤭), but alongside owning & operating Synergy, I also work full-time as the Operations Manager at Duo Threads. Getting to design and make my own personalized and branded mock necks was so much fun!

My professional life is usually very logistical and process-driven, which is exactly why jewelry has become such a creative outlet for me🥰

People have always told me that if I made Synergy merch, they’d wear it… so now I need to know 👀 Would you wear a Synergy mock neck?!
