Back in Vegas for our yearly trade show trip, and this year we decided to book almost all of our dinners off the Strip. Last night’s venture to was a little farther than we would normally go, but definitely worth the ride.
We tried EDO Tapas &wine years ago and loved it, so when I started reading reviews for Anima and realized it was also on our .app , I knew we had to give it a try.
The restaurant is modern, the service was top-notch, the wine list was excellent, and the sommelier was incredibly friendly.
We started with the Caviar & Eggs, which was delicious. But the next two dishes really stood out for me - the Green Tartare and the Smoked Hamachi—both unique, completely different from, and absolutely outstanding.
The Patatas Bravas were every bit as good as I remembered from EDO: crispy potatoes layers compresses into a deep fried perfection! They are impossible to stop eating. The bone marrow pasta was packed with flavor, but the winner of the night was the simplest dish on the table: the Pluma Ibérica with Campari tomato confit, garlic chips, and crispy potatoes (mini versions of those amazing patatas bravas).
They also offer a prix fixe tasting menu that looked very much worth the price.
A bit of a drive from the Strip, especially when you’re in town for a trade show, but one I would happily make again.
