Mom’s 80th birthday was a few years ago. I wanted to make her a brooch… she loves brooches! But honestly when it comes to gorgeous jewelry- she has it all!
An idea came about as I was driving and I quickly grabbed a card I found and drew a rough at the red light, so as not to forget.
I quickly called my brothers, nieces and nephews and asked for their birthdates… and their kids birthdates too!
We got to work… And assembled the most meaningful, piece of jewelry mom owns. Capturing the single thing she is most proud of… HER FAMILY!
As the years pass and the blessings of newborns continue, Mom comes over excited and has me add another birthstone.
Large Center BirthStone= Mom.
Exterior BirthStones= Children.
Larger BirthStones on the bars= Grandchildren.
Small BirthStones on the bar= Great Grandchildren.

What makes these “Sister Stones” so special is that they originated from the same rough stone and were designed and cut in my dad’s diamond factory.
