Big and bold, this onyx ring is sure to impress! Did you know? Onyx means "claw" or "fingernail" in Greek, and the Romans believed onyx was created when Cupid cut his mother Venus' fingernail, which fell into the Indus river, becoming onyx. It seems odd till you look at the uncut white and black bands of an onyx stone and can almost see the resemblance of a nail!
