Hi everyone! My name is Jake

I’m excited to share that me and my wife crystal have officially been approved as a vetted MakeGood Makers! That means we now able to build 3D-printed Toddler Mobility Wheelchairs for children with mobility disabilities. These custom mobility devices are provided free of charge to families and help young children gain independence, explore their world, and participate in everyday life.

Now comes the part where we need your help.

Building these wheelchairs takes a lot of time and materials. Each wheelchair requires approximately 10–11 kg of PETG filament, 2–3 kg of TPU filament, and a $42 caster, nut, and bolt hardware kit, along with countless hours of printing, assembly, and quality checks before it’s ready for a child.

Depending on the deals we can find on filament, it generally costs around $200–$250 to secure the filament and hardware needed for a single wheelchair. That cost can increase when I’m printing custom color combinations chosen specifically for each child.

Every dollar donated helps cover these costs and allows me to continue building these life-changing mobility wheelchairs for families who need them.

If you’d rather support the project by purchasing supplies, my Amazon Wishlist is one of the best ways to help. The wishlist includes PETG and TPU filament in a variety of colors, hardware, replacement parts, maintenance items, and we’re working toward adding dedicated 3D printers that can run wheelchair parts around the clock. Having printers dedicated solely to wheelchair production will allow me to help more children, faster.

Even purchasing an extra roll of filament makes a huge difference. Print failures happen, and having spare material on hand can be the difference between finishing a wheelchair on schedule or waiting days for supplies to arrive.
