Lauren Carlson is the owner & sole designer behind the brand and she's been in business for about 2.5 years. QTA was born out of her interest in fashion and the concepts that drive inanimate desire; In line with the rising trend of "slow fashion", Lauren's feminine- yet edgy pieces concentrate on quality & longevity. Her style focuses on minimalist work influenced by heirlooms and modern design. C

arlson seeks to underline the thoughtfulness of purchasing quality jewelry, and to highlight the destructiveness of mass production or "fast fashion".

I was so excited to be involved in the creation of this custom engagement ring. An emerald cut teal green/blue sapphire set in a 14K gold bezel setting. The two women that exchanged these rings decided pride month was a suiting time to devote themselves to each other. And I couldn’t be more happy they chose me to help begin their story. 🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

Hi everyone,
A bit of bittersweet news... After a lot of thought, I have decided to put a temporary pause on Question the Answer. I need to step away for some time to recharge. Running your own business is no joke and I deeply appreciate all the love and support you have provided me with over the past 5 years. It has been an incredible journey.

Starting January 1st, I will temporarily shut down my website, so now is your last chance to grab any remaining inventory. I plan to apply to a few holiday shows towards the end of 2020, but at this time I am not accepting any new commission orders or wholesale orders, nor am I applying to any spring or summer shows. I aspire to periodically list new items once my initial “unplugging” has ended.

With this decision, I just wanted to say "thank you" for showing up - this community has meant so much to me. You’ve kept my hands busy and my heart happy and for that I am so grateful. I can’t wait to one-day return with new exciting work for you!
