Gary received the 1993 Pinnacle Award from AGS (Amer. making him a Master Faceter. His faceted gemstones are always A1 in every way. Gary does all the faceting for our Etsy site. Gary has faceted just about every day in the past 30+ yrs.

We also accomplished cutting/polishing cabochons, making channel jewelry (a belt buckle); however, Gary just loves to facet, so the other lapidary arts are a "been there, done that" for him. We're both retired & love what we do. I create intarsias, wirewrap the gemstones and work on sterling silver to make channel jewelry. Our inspiration comes from our many years (together 141 yrs) of experiences in life and our children and granddaughters. We both teach at TLS. Gary is teaching faceting and I teach classes in channel jewelry, intarsia and chain maille. Read up about different lapidary arts on the TLS website (www.lapidary.org). Collecting rocks from different states on the East Coast was our family's vacation each year when our girls were little - they loved it. It was a wonderful experience for them, setting up a camper, making new friends,digging for diamonds, amethyst, apetite, garnets, tourmaline, and many more. The next generation - 11 year old granddaughters each have used our equipment and polished obsidian for pendants for themselves.
