I love blue. Especially cobalt blue. When creating this piece I ventured out of my “blue zone” enough to add clear textured glass. I’m really happy with the overall effect.

The result is this organic fused glass dish which has a flowing, asymmetrical form. The clear textured glass surrounds layered waves of cobalt blue and turquoise. The undulating edges and rippled surface give it a natural, water-like movement.

My glass garden stakes look so pretty mixed in with my potted outdoor plants. The sun reflects the colors and they light up the entire plant.

I think my favorite is the Hummingbird in the hanging plant. (1st photo) I can see it from anywhere on my deck and it really shows off its brilliant colors.

I have returned to my studio, totally energized and motivated.

Our recent travels took us all the way to Kenya, Africa where I got to see the most amazing and beautiful animals up close and personal.

The magnificent animals and my extraordinary opportunity to commune with nature have inspired me to design and create art.
