Today is Saintly Gifts 35th anniversary! The very day my daughter Amanda started kindergarten is the day I opened the doors, she will be 42 the 17th of this month. Wow, the growth in Saintly Gifts has been amazing but not only that the growth in my faith. I love my job and the many people I have met and have become friends. I love you all and thank you so much for your support and kindness.

THE PRAYER THAT MULTIPLIES THE HOLY ROSARY 9 TIMES

The Prayer of Salutation, given on June 20, 1646, to a shepherdess from Bavaria.

This is the story: the shepherdess had promised before an image of the Madonna to recite nine Rosaries a day. In the summer heat, the cattle became restless and she was unable to pray. Then the Virgin appeared to her and taught her this prayer, which was equivalent to nine Rosaries, asking her to teach it to others as well.

As reported by the German priest Joseph Ackermann in his book "Consolation for the Souls in Purgatory" (1793):

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth. She is the Queen Mother.

The Blessed Virgin Mary has been crowned queen in virtue of the Lord Jesus Christ, her Son, who is the king of the universe. In heaven as on earth, she points the way not to her own glory but to His, with which she has been robed and which she seeds only to reflect.

"Blessed is the crisis that made you grow, the fall that made you gaze up to Heaven, the problem that made you look for God!"

Padre Pio is not saying that hard times are good. He is saying that God can use hard times to bring us closer to Him.

Sometimes when life is going well, we forget how much we need God. But when we face sickness, loss, fear, or disappointment, we often start praying more. We look to God because we realize we cannot do everything on our own.

The Bible says that God can bring good out of every situation for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). That does not mean God causes our pain. It means He can use our pain to change our hearts.

The crisis helped you grow. The fall made you look up to Heaven. The problem made you pray. The very thing you wanted God to take away may have been the thing that brought you back to Him.

Many people can look back and see that their hardest season was also the season when they became closer to God.

💬 Was the hardest thing you ever went through the moment that brought you closer to God, or did it make you pull away from Him?

Someone you know may need this reminder today that God can still bring good out of broken moments.

Beautiful

One of the most beautiful truths of Catholic marriage is that husband and wife do not walk alone. Christ Himself stands at the center of their union, blessing their vows, strengthening them in trials, and guiding them toward Heaven.

A sacramental marriage is more than a contract; it is a sacred covenant, a visible sign of God’s love in the world.

May every Catholic bride and groom begin their marriage with their hearts turned toward Christ, seeking His blessing and entrusting their future to His Sacred Heart.

“Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.” Psalm 127:1

May Our Lord bless all married couples and those preparing for the holy vocation of Matrimony.

June is devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with the solemnity observed on the Friday following the octave of Corpus Christi. Throughout June, Catholics are encouraged to deepen their devotion to the Sacred Heart through prayer, reflection, and acts of charity.

Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, the mystery of one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. While we can never fully comprehend this profound mystery, we are invited to live within it, for the Trinity is not merely a doctrine to be understood but a relationship of perfect love into which we are called.
As Catholics, one of the most beautiful reminders of the Holy Trinity is something we do every day—the Sign of the Cross. So familiar is this gesture that we may sometimes make it without thinking, yet it is one of the most powerful prayers we possess.
When we touch our forehead, our heart, and our shoulders while saying, "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit," we proclaim our faith in the Triune God. We do not say "names" but "name," because there is only one God. At that moment, we place ourselves under the blessing and protection of the Holy Trinity.
The Sign of the Cross recalls our Baptism, when we were first claimed for Christ and welcomed into the family of God. It reminds us that we belong to the Father who created us, the Son who redeemed us, and the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us.
This simple gesture is also a blessing. Before prayer, before a journey, before sleep, and at the beginning of Mass, the Sign of the Cross calls down God's grace upon us. It strengthens us in temptation, comforts us in suffering, and reminds us that we never walk alone. The Cross is the sign of Christ's victory over sin and death, and when we trace it upon ourselves with faith and reverence, we proclaim that victory in our own lives.
On this Feast of the Holy Trinity, may we make the Sign of the Cross more thoughtfully and prayerfully. May every crossing of our forehead, heart, and shoulders remind us that we are surrounded by the infinite love of the Father, the saving grace of the Son, and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.
