Flower Christian Pendant with Mustard Seed from Jerusalem Surrender to God Necklace
In this particular necklace it incorporates a 14k gold filled 15mm bezel combined with lavender buds and a mustard seed from Jerusalem to represent what Jesus spoke in Luke 12:27 which is not to worry and essentially surrender to God. He says, "consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you...but seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well."
When my children, friends, and family worry about things I tell them quite often some of the common phrases that many others have heard like "surrender to God," "Let it Go," and "Give it to God." When I designed this piece, I had these phrases and Jesus' speaking to his disciples in mind. I thought of nature and specifically flowers like Jesus referenced on how they "trust" and simply surrender to God when they are blossoming. Like babies who put their full trust in who is caring for them, so does flowers. Flowers are delicate, pure, and "innocent" and so we too can be like the flower and surrender to God, choose not to worry, and simply trust He will care and provide just like the wildflowers.
