POSTING THIS TO SPREAD AWARENESS.
We have also contacted the Manitowoc Police Department to make them aware.

We have a group of people targeting Manitowoc with a fake gold scam. They are approaching people on the street, at WalMart, local gas stations, etc. with a story of “needing gas money to get home to another state”. They then offer jewelry in exchange for cash.

These people are SCAMMERS.
This jewelry is NOT REAL GOLD.

We have now seen and heard this same story from innocent people 3 different times in the last 3 days.

Be smart, use your judgement, and don’t fall for these tricks. If possible please collect images and or license plate numbers which we can share with local Police.

Share and let’s get these people caught!!!
