You'll notice our logo looks a little more colorful this month — and that's on purpose. đŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ

For Pride, we've swapped in the colors of the flag.

It might seem like a long way from Burgundy, but for us it's the same idea we've always poured our work into: that an overlooked grower in a forgotten appellation deserves the same stage as the famous name down the road. We've never seen the wine world as a ladder of who matters more — and we don't see people that way either.

Everyone deserves to be welcomed exactly as they are. That's true at the grower's table in France, and it's true here at home.

This month we're proudly raising a glass to our LGBTQ+ community — the winemakers, the trade, the friends, and the neighbors who make this world richer. 🌈

Wishing you a happy, safe, and colorful Pride. đŸ·đŸ’•

Sometimes you want a completely unsentimental read on your own work.

So we handed our entire portfolio to and asked it one slightly nerve-wracking question:

"Where does rank among importers with a serious Burgundy focus?"

We didn't stack the deck. We put ourselves in the room with the giants — Frederick Wildman, Wilson Daniels, Kermit Lynch, Becky Wasserman, Grand Cru Selections, Skurnik, Martine's Wines, Winebow, Rosenthal, Polaner, Vineyard Brands, North Berkeley, Vintus, Bowler, T. Edward, Dee Vine Estates and Veritas — and asked to be measured against all of them.

What came back:

"On Burgundy purity, it's at or near the very top."
"On regional completeness, it may be the most complete small book in the country."
"It ranks in the upper tier — in the lineage of Becky Wasserman's grower-first ethos and Rosenthal's terroir purity, and arguably more completist across the sub-regions than either."

We won't pretend that didn't feel good.

But the ranking isn't the point — the reason for it is. Since 2015 we've chased growers over names, and the whole map over the shiny villages. Chablis to Beaujolais. 36 families. One handshake at a time.

Turns out the machine noticed the thing we care about most: not how high the names climb, but how completely we love the region.

Thank you New York, it was another smashing week meeting people who gave us a shot during Covid, new supporters and above all great people who understand that we will never stop grinding and seeking the best Burgundy has to offer from every village possible, we will be relentless and not leave any stones unturned so that we may continue to convert customers to the beauties the region has to offer.

There is so much left to learn and every day brings new opportunities.

Thanks to for being such a great ambassador for us.

Until next time!!

“When Justice Tastes Like Victory”

Behind every bottle of Bertrand’s Wines is a grower who works the land with their own two hands. 🌿

The recent news about the tariff refunds isn't just a "business headline"—it’s a lifeline. These tariffs were a "tax on passion," making it harder for small-scale vignerons to share their craft with the world.

Seeing the government finally return these funds proves that the truth eventually catches up. We’re more committed than ever to bringing you the best of Bourgogne and Beaujolais, free from the weight of unfair duties.

But let’s not forget that we are still paying the “new” tariffs of 10% since February and there is another fight started to win that battle as well.

Here’s to the future of wine—unfiltered and unburdened. đŸ·

Hard to believe it’s already been a month since this unforgettable evening at the ChĂąteau du Clos de Vougeot. đŸ°đŸ·

On March 28th, I had the distinct honor—alongside his father—of sponsoring Pierrick Bouley’s induction into the Chevaliers du Tastevin. Sharing this milestone with our families was truly a full-circle moment.

Our journeys have always run in parallel:

2014: As Pierrick took over the Estate and began reimagining its future, I was laying the foundation for Bertrand’s Wines.

2016: The historic frost was a "cataclysm" that redefined his approach to the vines; at the same time, I decided to stop tiptoeing and focus our vision strictly on Greater Burgundy.

You can taste this dedication in every bottle. Pierrick’s wines are authentic, pure, and precise—the result of choosing the "hard path" in the vineyard without compromise. The critics call the results magical; I call it the reward of hard work. ✹

Beyond business, we’ve become family. This is what sets us apart: we live in the real world, with real values and a partnership rooted in authenticity. đŸ€

I’m looking forward to many more years of building these memories and sharing this sense of pride.

Jamais en vain, toujours en vin. đŸ„‚

Wine Paris is just around the corner, kicking off February 9th.
While we won’t be on the floor this year, several of the growers we proudly work with will be present and pouring.

If you are a distributor looking to discover authentic, terroir-driven estates—now is the time to reach out directly. These are producers we believe in deeply, not only for the quality of their wines, but for the people, philosophies, and long-term vision behind them.

We strongly encourage you to contact each producer in advance to book an appointment, taste through their ranges, and understand why they hold such an important place in our portfolio.

Opportunities like this don’t come often—make the most of Wine Paris and start conversations that matter.

Cheers đŸ·
