For those looking for a way to donate to the victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, but not sure where the money will really go, here is a first hand account of who and where the money will go:
Lois Simbach is one of my oldest friends from when we were artists together in New Orleans.
Artist, painter, fashion designer, Queen of Krewe du Vieux,
creator of a line of JuJu dolls and so much more.
These an are just a few of her unique accomplishments.
From her art-happening filled years in New Orleans
to her unique warehouse/ home in Marshall, N.C.,
her creativity, humor and unique sense of everything
has inspired and enraptured all who've met her.
Last week, her beloved warehouse, which held her studio and her collections and her home (and EVERYTHING) was swept away by the river. It's left her with nothing but her car, her cat and the clothes she wore when she escaped further up the mountain to escape the flood.......and her friends who are helping her now, at the beginning of this long road ahead.

I know there are hundreds of ways to donate to the thousands of people who are suffering from the effects of the floods, but I want to donate directly to someone whom i've known for my whole life. ❤️💜❤️
