Aloha everyone, I’ve been a bit distant online as I search for some balance in my life.
This is a clip from set up at Lahaina Gateway from late February. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to make these luxurious rose gold & glass seed beaded earrings for one of my collectors last month. I’m so grateful for everyone ordering online also this year!! We’ve been dealing with nearly 3 weeks of rain on Maui & experiencing a lot of unpleasant flooding & devastation once again in our community. Many of us are extremely stressed out and sensitive dealing with loss. Our community is resilient but many are struggling right now.
It’s been extremely hard to focus on jewelry making. I’ve been working out in this rain 5-7 days a week now getting soaking wet as an “essential worker” during the storms sharing my aloha spirit with all the spring break travelers upset about the rain. I’m grateful to say for the last few days the sun is out in South Maui!
Due to all this sudden disaster in our community I have
unfortunately decided to cancel my trip to one of my home places in Jacksonville Florida for one of my favorite festivals I’ve had the joy of experiencing for over 20 years with my family, The JAX Beach Springing The Blues Festival. This was a terribly hard decision for me. As our Maui community does need more support here, I’ve decided to stay and volunteer my time supporting my friends & others in need. Do I have any Florida friends that want my booth at a 3 day blues music festival?? It’s in a prime location as I have been a retuning vendor for several years!
