I know this is a little late for Memorial Day but it feels right anyhow. When I was a little kid, my dad told me the story about what his dad did in World War II and I grew up telling my friends in elementary school and middle school. I think I stopped telling the story in high school and college because I decided that it was so astonishingly, brave and ballzen, it was probably apocryphal and I didn’t realize that it actually happened until my dad showed me this article a few years ago. I am so proud to share my middle and last name with Pvt. George Taylor Timberlake. I would also like to add 🦅 and 🔥

The oldest gem on the planet, zircon! I recently finished cutting this vibrant red cushion cut for a client. The stone is natural/untreated cut from rough originating in Tanzania. It measures 6.42mm x 7.44mm, and a surprising 1.98ct! (I wasn’t expecting almost 2 carats!!) NFS
