He has a rare condition called Tuberous Sclerosis along with many other challenges, so needless to say, I am
lucky to be a stay at home mom and give each of our 3 kids the love and attention they deserve, while my husband serves Active Duty in the military. Our son brought our family closer to the Lord and we try to live our lives faithful to Him. I decided to start designing and crafting keepsakes as a way to have devotional time with God and include my kids in each devotion. Everyday, we pray and read a portion of the bible. Through each story we read, my 5 year old and I brainstorm how we can have a piece of jewelry recreate that story. Our 1st piece was based on David & Goliath. (1st Samuel 17) David brought 5 smooth stones with him to defeat Goliath and only needed 1. My daughter mentioned the 5 stones and our 1st keepsake was created. Since we also love Fishing, we decided to create some jewelry pieces inspired by the water and beach atmosphere as well. I love the time I am able to spend with my 3 children and how we have a special way to learn about our faith together and enjoy the beautiful oceanside city we live in. We created our shop "Fishing and Faith" because we are a family that loves to fish and what better name for a shop than 2 of the things our family loves most - Fishing and (most importantly) Faith.
