Reminiscing today as I make some much-needed upgrades to the pit bench. This pit mat was given to me by a local racer and his father after only about 4th or 5th race ever - I was pitting on an old, dirty towel until they offered this to me. It was already cut short to fit a smaller table they had at home, but they knew it needed a new purpose. Now, here I am, 8 years later realizing how many people this pit mat has truly helped and brought a smile to. Every single product SPE has ever created has touched this mat. Solder, tools, cars, and parts have all been dropped on it. It's somehow survived thousands of cuts when I was still printing labels on printer paper. It's been the backdrop for countless photos. It's been with SPE through its birth, growth, and where it is today. Memories are forever, but we all grow, and as we grow we change. A new door is opening...
