With so many amazing chunky signets going through the workshop, I just had to create one of my own.

Beginning with this piece of Mexican jasper, I decided to lean into the warm, desert-sunset color palette and set it in brushed rose gold.

Hi! I’m Jordan, the designer/jeweler/founder behind SKYDOG.

When I started Skydog in [date], it was just me and a jewelry bench. These days, I have an amazing team bringing my designs to life - but I still like getting my hands dirty…

Last year, I began learning to hunt for and cut gemstones myself. I love designing, but getting to source and work the raw materials with my own hands makes me feel so connected to both my craft and the earth.

Behind everything I do is my curiosity and fascination for the human and natural wonders of our world. My biggest inspiration comes from travel and exploration - being out in the world, meeting people, discovering its secrets.

There’s no way to sugarcoat it - the fashion industry is a massive contributor to unethical working conditions and unsustainable manufacturing standards.

My jewelry pays homage to earth magic and human connection, and it’s important that my business contributes to a local and sustainable manufacturing chain.

It’s why we try to source as many of our stones as possible from local mines, often heading out myself to make connections and assess the source.

It means I know who has mined my stones, how they’ve been collecting them, and can be assured all people involved are fairly treated and paid. The turquoise chunks pictured here are from the in Arizona!
