I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who supported me throughout this experience. Entering this competition was outside of my comfort zone because I’m much more used to juried exhibitions, where finalists and winners are chosen by a panel. Public voting was a completely new experience for me.

When I realized votes could also be purchased, I had my hesitations — though I absolutely respect it, especially since it supports charity. Personally, I wanted this journey to feel organic and rooted in genuine support from family, friends, peers, and people who truly connected with my work, without anyone feeling obligated to spend money for me.

That’s why this means so much. Every vote, share, message, and word of encouragement reminded me how powerful real community is. 🤍

We made it to the next phase together, and I’d love to hear from you — comment below and let me know where you’re supporting from. And if my work resonates with you, I’d be so grateful for your continued support in this next round. Let’s keep going together. ✨ Who’s in?

Can we bring this home 🏆?

I’ll be honest—this process is very different from what I’m used to.

Coming from the fine arts and juried exhibitions,
I’ve never had to rely on public voting
or expect my community to pay for support.

I come from a space where you earn your place.

That said…

The way you’ve all been showing up for me—daily—
has kept me at the top of my group.

And that tells me something important:
we actually have a real shot at this.

If we stay consistent
and make use of the free daily votes,
we can take this all the way.

I’ve been selected as a finalist for The People’s Artist,
presented by Johnny Depp—
and this round is decided by public vote.

TIN HAUS started from nothing.
No shortcuts. No backing.
Just years of building, creating, and trusting the work.

Now it comes down to this.

Voting resets every day—
so your daily vote truly makes a difference.

If my work has ever resonated with you,
I’d genuinely appreciate you showing up for me here.

I appreciate the support Ranella Ferrer Di Salvo 🙏🏼 and only hope to make everyone proud through my work. ❤️

I’ve entered art exhibitions, but this competition is different. I was recently picked as a finalist for The People’s Artist, presented by Johnny Depp.

In the next phase of the competition, winners are determined by the public. Not by appointed judges. Therefore, I remain faithful that my community will show up for me in this competition. Voting resets every day, so please vote daily. Please share far and wide.

Voting resets every day—so if you choose to support, your vote can make an impact daily. If this work resonates with you, sharing it with someone who might feel the same truly helps.

I don’t usually do this publicly—but this time is different.

I’ve been selected as a finalist for The People’s Artist, presented by Johnny Depp—and for the first time, the next phase isn’t decided behind closed doors. It’s decided by people.

This is outside of my comfort zone—but I’m stepping into it with intention. I trust that those who connect with my work will show up.

What you’re seeing here is one of the pieces that led to my selection. The Origins Collar Necklace on the cover is especially meaningful—hand-forged from a single sheet of metal into its final form.

I’ll be sharing the full process behind this one-of-a-kind piece soon—now in the hands of a renowned Hollywood director.

As a multidisciplinary artist rooted in contemporary sculptural jewelry, my work explores abstraction, ancient symbolism, and the unseen.

Comment below to let me know you’re locked and loaded with me 🔫🙌🏼

“Steal Like An Artist” - do you know the true meaning?

I used to think studying other artists meant losing my originality. Now I see it differently—your voice is shaped through what you absorb, transform, and make your own.

So where do you draw the line between inspiration and imitation?

I don’t usually do this publicly - I’ve been selected as a finalist for The People’s Artist, presented by Johnny Depp—and for the first time, the outcome isn’t decided behind closed doors. It’s decided in the open… by people. 😅

If you’ve followed my work, you know I tend to move in silence when it comes to fine art competitions—submitting privately, letting the work speak to appointed jurors. This is different. It challenges me to be visible, to share something I’ve typically kept close; to face my fears.

Voting this Monday, May 4 at 10 AM PDT. Vote via link in bio.

As a multidisciplinary artist rooted in contemporary sculptural jewelry, my work explores abstraction, ancient symbolism, and the unseen threads that connect us. A few of the pieces included in this slideshow span years of that exploration—from past to present.

Stepping into this kind of visibility is outside my comfort zone—but community has always been at the heart of what I do. So I’m choosing to trust that. To show up fully, and to believe that those who resonate with my work will feel called to support it. 🙏🏼

I’ll be sharing reminders as we get closer to voting day, as well as process videos of jewelry and artwork I’ve created from past to present.

Thank you for being here—for seeing me, and for being part of this.

More soon. In the slideshow, you will see a few of the artwork submitted that earned my spot as a finalist. Feel free to visit the my competition profile to see the rest!

Studying Van Gogh - This painting was rushed, so I didn’t have time to film. It’s due today. ☠️

Sharing a painting I’m currently working on ✨

For this project, I studied three artists—Gustav Klimt, George Condo, and Vincent van Gogh. In this clip, I focused on Condo.

I was drawn to Prismatic Portrait and chose to render it to really understand his process.

At first, I was honestly uncomfortable studying and painting the work of other artists—I’ve always valued originality. But this shifted my perspective. There’s real value in studying older works… you learn the techniques, then find a way to make them your own.

This piece pushed me—the level of precision it takes while still holding onto spontaneity and improvisation completely changed how I think about painting.

Looking deeper into Condo’s practice made that even clearer. George Condo studied and reworked techniques from Old Masters like Rembrandt, Francisco Goya, and Diego Velázquez—alongside Modernists like Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Willem de Kooning. You can really feel that influence, especially the connection to Cubism.

That kind of deep study is what shaped his voice—and it’s showing me how to refine mine.

Breaking it all down also made me realize how directly painting translates into my jewelry design. Composition, texture, color harmony… and especially that abstract, expressive approach to form. It’s the same mindset I use when creating wearable art.

Before jewelry, I started with painting—and I’m seeing now how connected it’s always been.

Next up: Van Gogh 👀 Stay tuned.

Looking back at some of my past posts. Wish I had more time to do shoot these narrative style videos. Nowadays, it’s just straight to the bench because my day job and finishing school take so much of my time.

With a background in performance and storytelling, I really miss composing videos of my jewelry design process. Eventually, I’ll get to a space where I’ll be able to do this again. I do what I can now.

Do you like watching the behind-the-scenes jewelry making process?
