Working on custom projects is the stuff that feeds my heart and soul. I was fortunate to be able to help a friend from college create this one of a kind Push present for his wife Lena (also a friend college) who just gave birth to their second child!
Ramon is a graphic designer and he came to me with an idea that he was able to illustrate to help me understand the exact vision he had.
The egg shapes on the outside of this piece called a Pumi which are symbols of rebirth, triumph of life and fertility of the earth in Italy where Lena’s family is from.
The Pumi are closely linked to the town of Grottaglie in the province of Taranto, and are typically made as a ceramic item.
I love making jewelry that has historic and symbolic meaning to the people that end up wearing them, this will be an heirloom piece for sure!

It’s been a while but I’ve been working on some really amazing stuff lately!
This reproduction of a family crest ring is based on an original heirloom piece that was stolen from a client’s fathers hospital bedside.
I made a men’s version for the men in her family and one for her.
Jewelry can hold so much history and meaning, it is my absolute honor to help create and re-create family heirlooms for clients like these. This is the kind of work that drives me!

I’ve just about had it. Today I saved this BLM crochet someone made and hung on the gate of the playground, from the garbage can across the street from my studio. Once again someone defaced multiple businesses BLM signage on York. There is someone who is so filled with hatred that she has to come and destroy innocent messages of unity that are displayed in our neighborhood. This must be stopped. But whatever damage this hateful beast tries to do, she cannot change the fact that Black Lives Matter, forever and ever. Amen.

This month I celebrate the six year anniversary of when I started on this crazy journey of making jewelry. What started as a curiosity turned into a hobby, turned into a career.

This work is not easy by any means, the hours of staring through magnifiers til my eyes throb, burning my fingers constantly til I don’t feel heat anymore, the back bending labor that comes with the territory.

Everytime I don’t think I can carry on and I start scouring the internet for other jobs or my bank account is depleted, new opportunities present themselves to me. There is something that keeps me here and I keep on going.

I am excited to announce that I have been working on a new body of work that has been in the pipeline really since 2014 when I traveled to New Mexico to learn inlay at Ghost Ranch.

The work is inspired by modern design and form combined with my love of vibrant natural minerals.

I’ll be launching my website in the coming months but I just couldn’t wait to share a peek of these pictures that I collaborated with some friends on.
