Pleasantry Jewelers was founded in November of 2012. Even though Pleasantry Jewelers is still a young company, the family who runs the company is no stranger in the jewelry industry. With two other sister stores located in the heart of Chinatown, one of the older and more established jewelry stores, JAJ & Associates, Inc., has been committing to manufacturing and selling high-end luxury items at a

low and reasonable price. The mastermind behind the family business, Long Ta, started off his business in 1988 after he worked for Tiffany & Co. as a diamond buyer for almost 8 years. Long hoped that his children would carry on the family business of manufacturing and selling high-end jewelry, so therefore he decided to branch off into the Los Feliz neighborhood and open a store for his son, James. James, Long’s second son, and also a recent UCLA graduate, has been working side-by-side with his father in the jewelry business since he was the age of 6! From hand selecting diamonds to customizing each piece, James has an understanding and appreciation for each jewelry piece from the start of the process to the end, where his customers are left satisfied and happy the moment they walk out of his doors. Today, James who founded Pleasantry Jewelers, which is formally where the land mark Eugene’s Jewelers once was, offers a wide selection of goods and services for those who live in the Los Feliz neighborhood and surrounding areas. Some of the services they offer include jewelry repair (soldering, re-mounting diamonds, etc.), jewelry cleaning, watch repair, engraving, buying back old gold, and custom-made jewelry (3D CAD design and printing). As for goods, they offer a wide selection of jewelry in 10k, 14k, 18k, and 24k yellow and white gold, silver and platinum. James loves offering great deals to those who are looking for great prices on jewelry. James takes tremendous pride in making his customers happy.
