You guys know I love a 2-for-1 second life project. 🤍

Sometimes the second piece takes a little time to reveal itself. We finish the first, live with it for a bit, and eventually figure out what the leftover stones want to become.

And sometimes—like this one—I can see both pieces immediately.

I especially love these two rings together because they are almost opposite ends of the design spectrum. One is substantial, bold and weighty. The other is delicate, asymmetrical and a little unexpected.

And I loved that she was excited about both.

She wasn’t attached to the idea that everything in her jewelry collection needed to have the same look or personality. We took the diamonds from her original ring, added a handful of extra diamonds to the tapered baguettes we already had, and created a second ring that felt completely different—and completely custom to her.

I say this all the time: you don’t need 10 versions of the same piece of jewelry just because you know you like it.

A jewelry collection is so much more interesting when there’s some range in it.

Same original ring. Two very different second lives. And not a stone wasted. 🤍

Some jewelry marks the biggest moments in your life.

Here is a custom his + hers wedding band set I made in 14k yellow gold. His is an understated 3mm band—which I absolutely loved for him—finished in a soft matte finish.

For hers, we decided on a little more flash with an alternating oval + emerald cut diamond eternity band. I meticulously chose the depth of each diamond because I never want an eternity band to feel too bulky between your fingers, especially when working with larger diamonds like these.

These are the little details I obsess over with custom jewelry. It’s not just about making something beautiful—it has to feel good enough to actually live your life in it.

And I especially love knowing these two pieces get to mark such a big moment in theirs.

And sometimes the meaning is much quieter and little more personal.

Here, I’m wearing the new beloved ring. It’s engraved with Luna’s own writing, exactly as she made it. It This particular ring will always be one of my most special pieces because her handwriting won’t look like this forever. She won’t be this age forever. But I get to keep this little version of her with me forever. 🤍

A little Before/After for your Friday afternoon ✨

i looooove a two-for-one project 😬😬

Once a sentimental ring, reimagined into two entirely new pieces. I started with the sapphire first, and once we gave her a new home, it helped me see the diamonds in a completely different way.

The blue sapphire was finished in polished yellow gold, while the two natural diamonds were set in a soft matte finish—one more delightful distinction between the two redesigned rings.

Same stones, new lives. This is why I love second life / custom work ✨🤍
