I know it’s tempting to build the “perfect” charm collection right away, but charms are meant to be collected over time. That’s what makes them personal—each piece should feel a little special, a little random, and very you.

When you rush it, you lose the story. That special personal touch.

Building it slowly also makes it easier on your budget, keeps the inspiration flowing, and gives each charm actual meaning instead of just filling space.

If you’re starting out, my advice is always the same: invest in a really good chain that you absolutely love first. The charms will come—and they’ll be better because you didn’t force them. 🤍

When two places feel like home—Louisiana & Los Angeles—something special like this comes to life. I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it was all her. The moment she told me about it, I fell in love with it. Its projects like these that make custom work so special and meaningful.

Solid 14k gold with a Ceylon blue sapphire heart (a nod to Louisiana’s state color and LA’s Dodger blue), finished with white natural diamonds on the bail, front and back.
