My dear friend Fernanda (Universal Deco ™ | Handmade Fine Jewelry )turned her personal grief into something incredibly meaningful through art.
She brought together a beautiful community of artists, each interpreting the same question in their own unique way:
“What Does Death Mean to You?”
As I always say, we artists may work with the same materials, yet what we create can be completely different. That’s one of the things I love most about art. Each piece reflects the artist’s own experiences, emotions, and perspective.
I love seeing how one question can turn into so many different stories and interpretations.
What makes this exhibition even more special is seeing a community of artists come together to support a friend, while Fernanda is finding a way to turn such a difficult time into something meaningful through art.
I hope you’ll show her and all these wonderful artists lots of love and support! 🖤
For my own piece, I wanted to explore the idea that death is always around us, even when we cannot see it.
Creating this piece reminded me how precious our limited time with the people we love truly is.
I also wanted to keep its deeper meaning hidden at first glance, allowing people to discover it only from certain angles, just as we sometimes become aware of death only at certain moments in our lives.
I’m so grateful to be part of this exhibition, not only as an artist, but also as a friend.
Sending so much love to Fernanda and all the wonderful artists who came together to make this happen. 💜
