Spotted: Peggy Gou 구 by the water in St. Tropez, casually rocking a factory diamond-set Patek Philippe Nautilus. It’s exactly the sort of watch you’d expect to see on someone who actually knows, worn exactly where it belongs.

Genta modelled the Nautilus after a ship’s porthole in 1976, and it’s carried the sea in its name ever since. On the Riviera, Gou landed on something that reads dressed up and off-duty at once, exactly the register St. Tropez runs on.

The first of the larger Aquanauts, this reference introduced a sapphire caseback to the collection, framing the solid gold rotor of the Calibre 315 SC. The embossed black dial and matching rubber strap remain the details that have defined the Aquanaut from the very beginning. Decades on, the formula has barely changed, serving as a testament to Patek’s genius from the jump.

Sold and authenticated by Bezel: Omega’s Speedmaster Moonwatch in white lacquer, marking the first time the standard steel Moonwatch has come in anything but black. The same watch worn on the Moon, in a form it has never officially taken until now.

For decades the steel Moonwatch came one way, black dial and white hands, exactly as NASA qualified it in 1965. This version flips that formula, setting black hands and indices against a glossy white lacquer dial, with the Speedmaster name printed in red as a nod to the experimental Alaska Project of 1969. Everything that made the Moonwatch a legend is still here, just shown from the other side.
