So similar, yet so different! The larger strand is south sea cultured pearls, the smaller are Japanese akoya. Both have incredible slices of watermelon tourmaline. The stones are so cool and full of defined color. The smaller stone and weighs about 12cts and the larger is about 61cts. The smaller akoyas are 7.5-8mm and the larger south seas are 12-15mm. Perfect as a mother daughter set, or even worn together. Both have toggles and are set in silver, both are available for immediate shipping.

For me, the first quality factor in cultured pearls is their luster. These Japanese akoyas have super sharp luster, making the pearls highly reflective. Lesser quality can be found, however, they will not look like these. Yes this strand is spendy, but these pearls will last you a lifetime. I have strung them on white thread, but I could easily use pink or green to pick up the colors in that tourmaline slice. And speaking of the tourmaline, it’s set in fine silver (.999) with sterling toggle components. Available now on my website. DM for a link.

Honestly, this pendant looks meh in photos. But what doesn’t come across well on camera, is the rich inky blue of the azurite and the bright pop of green from the malachite. And the camera really misses the hints of sparkle coming from those drusy pockets. Seriously, this stone is gorgeous and if you live in navy blue and white stripe tops in summer, this is the perfect pendant choice. Classic with a twist: akoya cultured pearls from Japan with a watermelon tourmaline toggle clasp in silver. The pearls have a soft pink glow to them, prismatic luster and a nice everyday size of 7.5-8mm. Instantly less formal than a traditional strand, this one is knotted on white but could easily be restrung onto pink or even green thread. Coming to the website soon!
