Launch Day is finally here!

I’m so excited to officially share the Bertie Shirtie with you!

So much time, care, and intention has gone into this pattern—from the drafting to the testing—and I’m incredibly grateful to my testers for helping make Bertie what it is ❤️

The Bertie Shirtie is a relaxed woven t-shirt with a simple drop shoulder and an easy, comfortable fit. It includes:
• 22 sizes
• Short and long sleeve options
• Two cup size options (A/B and C/D)

It’s designed to be approachable, with a few skill-building steps along the way—making it a great project for adventurous beginners and a satisfying, quick sew for more experienced makers. Fabric requirements range from approximately 1.25–2.75 yards, depending on your size and view.

The pattern is drafted for a height of 5’4” (162.6 cm), and instructions for common fit adjustments are included in the tutorial.

A big thank you to for doing this photoshoot with me. I can’t wait to start sharing all of the tester makes—there are so many good ones coming. I’ll be posting a tester appreciation later today!

To celebrate launch, you can use code BERTIE20 for 20% off anything in my Etsy shop through March 28.

Thank you so much for being here and supporting my work! 🤗

I need your help deciding which pattern to launch next. I originally drafted the Bertie Shirtie, a woven t-shirt that comes with both short and long sleeves. I felt like there were still so many design possibilities with this top so I went on to create a longer version with a side slit, a breast pocket, and a back pleat. I’m calling that version the Serendipi-Tee. Perhaps these tops look similar but they’re actually patterned quite differently — these differences include sleeve length, bodice width, and neckline circumference in addition to the previously mentioned modifications. So here’s where I need your help. Which design do you prefer?

I finally made the legendary which I’ve been wanting to make for ages now!.I made size 4 and I know this top is supposed to be roomy but I’m wondering if I should have sized down (I’m in between sizes but fall closer to size 4 on the size chart). I’d be curious to hear any opinions you guys have on the fit!.Overall, this was an easy sew and it’ll only get easier now that I know exactly how to sew it..Also, ever since making the Julie Jeans YouTube tutorial, I’ve felt more comfortable editing videos and now I can make reels with more confidence. I’m excited for this to be my first reel showing my sewing process!

Today is launch day for the and I am so excited to share this ultra comfortable elastic waist jeans pattern with you!.I can’t say enough about how my wonderful team of testers contributed to this project through their helpful feedback, words of encouragement, and beautiful photos. It means so much to have so many people interested in collaborating on a pattern and I’m really touched to have had so many repeat applicants. It is truly a privilege to meet and work with so many wonderful people through this avenue ❤️ While these images don’t capture all the behind the scenes work, I want to acknowledge the testers who made multiple pairs of Julie Jeans, who went above and beyond in proof-reading, and who are so dependable that I wouldn’t want to do a test without them. I am SO privileged to have you ❤️.To celebrate the launch, all my patterns are 20% off now through July 12 with the code JULIEJEANS20.. , who I had the joy of collaborating with on this project, is offering 15% off fabric when you use the code yoannasstudio at checkout..Last but not least, I want to shout out and . I would not have known the first thing about creating and launching a successful pattern if it were not for them ❤️.The Julie Jeans, complete with an elastic waistband, merges the timeless style of traditional jeans with the unmatched comfort of loungewear. The elastic waistband offers both comfort and flexibility, accommodating various body types without the need to blend sizes. Due to the nature of the elastic waistband, these jeans also offer a flexible fit that adapts to a range of body changes — including pregnancy, postpartum, and other fluctuations in size and shape..These jeans are available in three styles: tapered leg, flared leg (both cropped and full-length), and shorts. Additionally, you can choose between two pocket designs—classic pockets and heart pockets.

The have been a long time in the making. The pattern itself has been tested and has been ready to release for over a month now. Unfortunately, I’m still working the video tutorial. Fingers crossed I’ll be done with it really soon. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience as I get everything ready — I’ve moved states, undergone a lot of changes, and work another job — everything has taken a lot longer than expected.
On a positive note, I’ve taken some new photos of the cropped flare Julie Jeans showcasing the wonderful twill sent me. This particular fabric is the 7.5 oz colored denim in ginger yellow. I can’t wait to share the rest of the photos which include two other fabrics from Longan Craft.
Longan Craft has also generously provided a discount code for makers of the Julie Jeans. Use code yoannasstudio at checkout to receive 15% off your order.
Also featured in these photos is the tip. I love it to death and wear it all the time.

Help me decide which pattern I should launch next! Should I launch the Talia Top that comes with two hem styles and 3 sleeve lengths? Or should I launch the Julie Jeans that come with multiple leg styles, shorts, and an elastic waist?

Sonata Set add-on pack testing has begun!
When I was designing the Sonata Set, I was brimming with ideas. To reduce option overload, I limited the main pattern to two sleeve variations, and two pocket options. This add-on pack will offer more customization possibilities, including belt loops, and three additional pocket options.
Over the course of my sewing career, I’ve made a number of welt pockets and have always found the process to be unnecessarily complicated. In this add-on pack, I’ve simplified their construction to make them more beginner-friendly. If you’ve admired the sleek look of welt pockets but shied away due to their perceived difficulty, now’s your chance to master them with ease!
This will be an add-on pack, so you will need the Sonata Set files to use this pattern. The instructions provided in this pack will only cover the construction of the add-on pockets and belt loops. For all other steps, you will need to refer to the Sonata Set instructions.
Can’t wait to bring another pattern to market!
