SIENNA PATTI is a project and exhibition based program focusing on the work of contemporary studio artists. The artists bridge the worlds of art, craft, and contemporary design with innovative use of materials and mediums. Artwork made with a nod to craftsmanship in a serious way by artists that are using it as an intellectual and structural vehicle for their ideas. Working with young artists and

showing the work alongside established figures that address similar ideas allow the gallery to have versatile and malleable walls – crossing though the restrictions of both the marketplace and history. Initially established in 1998 as a venue for contemporary studio jewelry, the gallery continues to represent and work with studio jewelers around the world. In conjunction with the gallery, SGPress publishes monographs, catalogs and books. The gallery presents 8-10 group and solo exhibitions a year as well as exhibiting at art and design fairs throughout the world. We work with major museums to help establish and complete contemporary jewelry collections as well as offering appraising and collection services to our clients. Our artists are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; The Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The Museum of Modern Art in New York; Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum in New York; Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, Australia; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, CA; Smithsonian Institution, D.C; Museum of Art And Design, New York; Museum of Fine Art, Houston; Museum of Fine Art, Boston; Musee de Louvre, Paris; Philadelphia Museum of Art; and more.

🏵️ Artist Spotlight: Daniel Kruger
GARDEN: A Group Exhibition Inspired by Nature

Daniel Kruger’s jewelry exists at the crossroads of history, geometry, desire, and nature itself. Born in South Africa and based in Germany, Kruger’s internationally recognized practice—shaped by his studies under Professor Hermann Jünger—draws from diverse cultural traditions, natural forms, and historical artifacts.

Kruger has long explored what he calls “the erotic quality” of balance and pairing—twin pendants, double-pronged rings, mirrored brooches. His materials, too, reflect his love of paradox: coral, turquoise, pearls, and silver that look like they could have been pulled from a shipwreck or unearthed in a palace archive.

In his 2021 retrospective publication Between Nature and Artifice, Kruger’s work was described as “sensual rigor.” That phrase lingers here. There’s rigor in the repetition, in the Euclidean logic of his forms. But there’s also heat—lush curves, sumptuous materials, a sense of ornament as bodily pleasure.

His pieces, rich with materials such as turquoise, coral, silver, and ceramic, often echo botanical and animal patterns, capturing the vitality of the natural world while subtly referencing humanity’s ongoing tension with nature. Kruger blends symmetry and sensuality, pattern and intuition, to create jewelry that feels both ancient and freshly discovered, relics of an imagined garden rooted deeply in the natural world.

In GARDEN, Kruger’s work reminds us of nature's profound influence, guiding us between what grows and what we make—between the natural and the artificial, the organic and the ornamented.

Now on view in GARDEN, alongside other artists exploring the natural world as symbol, memory, and force.
