These are all my original designs Jen Stock Mindful Jewelry is carefully created with the intent to help remind the wearer of being mindful and seeing the good in themselves, in others and in life. Beaded pieces are all masterfully assembled by hand using a F

rench Knotting Technique with a knot in between each bead, giving the pieces more fluidity and producing a higher quality piece of jewelry. The beads are knotted tightly and the “kinks” will loosen up as worn. Macrame Jewelry is handmade using a special round design unique to Jen Stock Designs. The OM is a symbol rich in meaning and depth that represents the divine in each of us, as well as our interconnectivity. Jen uses an authentic graffiti-like design of the OM symbol in her ©Goddess Collection to evoke a modern view of the OM symbol. All pieces are made as a mala or the intention of a mala. The Mala is an ancient, traditional wooden necklace made of 108 beads used to keep track of how many times a mantra or name of a deity is repeated while meditating. As the inspiration behind Jennifer's beaded pieces such as ©My Mala, each one has 108 beads or a number divisible by 9. The wood is made from Boxwood, which is an Exotic wood from Brazil and very slow growing, which makes it very hard. Jennifer refers to it as the "Diamond of Wood." The dark brown beads are referred to as Brunette and are all carved exclusively for www.JenStock.com into beads in 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm. All Boxwood beads are made exclusively for Jen Stock Designs by Master Wood Carvers. With these designs, Jen hopes to not only provide an authentic fashion staple, but a powerful spiritual influence as well.

She walked into the Baltimore Zoo in 1961 with a high school diploma, a love of animals, and no idea she was about to make history.

Mary Jeannette Wilson became the first African American senior zookeeper at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore — at just 21 years old.

While most women zookeepers of that era were assigned to small animals, Mary worked with the big ones from day one — gorillas, elephants, and big cats. Her daughter recalls the day a charging elephant came at her mother. Mary didn't flinch. She simply said, "You come over." The elephant complied.

She spent 38 years at the zoo, training generations of zookeepers — some of whom still work there today.

She passed away on May 25, 2020, at 83 years old.

But her legacy? Still very much alive.

In 2022, The Maryland Zoo established the Mary Wilson Scholar Program — an 8-week paid internship for students pursuing careers in animal care and conservation, specifically targeting those underrepresented in the field.

And her daughter, Sharron Wilson Jackson, followed in her footsteps — becoming the first African American female senior zookeeper at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska.

She didn't just break a barrier. She built a dynasty. 🐘🦁🖤
