We focus on achieving this goal through acts of Kindness, fostering community connections, and promoting literacy. A special place dedicated to Alyssa Noelle Audette. We wanted a place to share stories, memories, literacy, and kindness with those all around the country and the world. Alyssa left us in November 2011, leaving a hole in the hearts of all who loved her. We want to continue sharing her

stories, her light, and her passion, which included animals, the beach, and tripping over her own two feet. We invite you to join us in spreading joy and kindness by painting shells or rocks with bright, cheerful colors. Add a fun quote, a ladybug, or even a penguin—Alyssa’s favorite!—and leave these little treasures for others to discover. If you’re local, be sure to stop by our own Free Little Library: the Little Ladybug Library, a special addition to our kindness rock garden created in Alyssa’s honor in July 2020. Find a Free Little Library near you at https://littlefreelibrary.org, and share in the magic—take a book, leave a book, and pass along a little kindness through reading, one of Alyssa’s favorite pastimes. We love hearing about all the adventures your creations go on! Be sure to hashtag them with ---it directs people here, helps them discover Alyssa's story, and keeps her spirit shining bright. Happy Thursday May 28th Rockers and Readers!! We added these messages to the Kindness Rocks Garden and we topped off Little Ladybug Library for the new day!!! Both are full and available all day,
everyday !!

May 28th is also World Hunger Day. It was established by The Hunger Project to raise awareness that more than 700 million people live in chronic food insecurity.

We are still in need of toddler books 😳 If you have any to spare, please bring them by when you visit! Or reach out and we will arrange pickup!📚🐞❤️

May 27th is also World Otter Day! It is a day. It was established by the International Otter Survival Fund to raise awareness for 13 otter species worldwide, seven of which are threatened — a species also known for holding hands with partners while floating to prevent drifting apart.

…and speaking of love and appreciation, we’d like to take a moment to thank you for the many diverse and interesting donations we’ve received recently! Your generosity helps us provide books on every subject to everyone who wants or needs them. I will always believe that a library should have books that represent everyone’s culture, religion, beliefs, history, and science.
Our free will gives us the opportunity to choose what you read and what you believe. We can hold onto our values while still offering kindness and respect to people whose choices look different from our own.

Happy Monday May 25th Rockers and Readers!! It is both Memorial Day and Love and Kindness through Rocks Day 💜💚💜An extra table is out next to the restocked Little Ladybug Library. On it you will find a box of chapter books, new nonfiction for the whole family including government and war, and assorted fiction for adults!

📚We are still in need of board books for the Toddler Annex! If you have any gently used or New to share, please consider bringing them by when you visit. 🐞
