These pearl drops are perfectly peachy with peach freshwater pearls displaying a warm pink luster. Yellow gold compliments the pearls, along with the pink zircons that are bezel set at the top. In our earlier post this morning we mentioned Tahitian pearls…so here’s following up with a visual.

These Haitian pearls are all in stock and ready to wrap. As you can see, they have a dark black/gray tone to them with colors that resemble an oil slick. This color palette gives them elegant wearability. We have flatter button style Tahitian stud earrings, and an amazing strand of Tahitians with an integrated decorative white gold pearl clasp with natural diamonds.

Pearl studs are the perfect gift when you’re not sure what to get her. Pearls are classic, timeless and elegant. Pearl earrings bring that sense of completion to any jewelry collection and are very appropriate for most events in life. Pearls can be dressed up, down, worn to both weddings and funerals. We always have a selection of Akoya studs in 5mm, 6mm, and 7mm.

Pearl is the birthstone for the month of June. Pearls are not mined, they are grown naturally inside a mollusk. Across the industry, we commonly refer to pearls as cultured pearls, meaning human assistance initiated the pearl growth. When referring to cultured pearls, there are generally two categories, freshwater pearls, or akoya pearls.

Freshwater pearls are produced much faster when compared to saltwater akoya pearls and since the production time is less, they are more abundant. Freshwater pearls tend to be a little more flat in color, but can still have a nice luster and they offer a less pricey alternative to akoya. Saltwater akoya pearls take longer to culture, but are prized for their pinkish luster. A well matched akoya strand of pearls is sought after for the mile markers in life, graduations and weddings. The pinkish hue is lovely and what we picture when thinking about traditional pearls.

Pearls can be dyed, they come in different shapes, and truly offer something for everyone. Tahitian pearls offer a black/gray hue and South Sea pearls offer golden hues to make us swoon. Pearls are versatile and truly a jewelry staple.

Texture can make a huge difference with how a ring looks. We use it to give interest and character to some of our pieces, especially those pieces in the Pemi Collection.

The ring on the left is a Pemi inspired custom commissioned piece for someone special. It features rubellite tourmaline and gorgeous rubies set in the heavily textured sides.

The ring on the right was made for our cases and holds a carat VS1 champagne step cut oval diamond. This stunning natural diamond is surrounded by a yellow gold textured bezel and champagne colored diamond melee…this ring has all the yummy rugged, hand carved lines that our Pemi Collection is known for!

These earrings are something different from the Lika Behar Collection. They feature faceted amethyst set in cool polished sterling silver. Natural diamonds frame the amethyst, while pops of 24k yellow gold set with natural diamonds complete the whole look.

This incredible pink tourmaline stone is from Afghanistan, and we assure you, it’s stunning. The pink is a rosy-bubble gum color and the stone radiates beams of light no matter the angle. This tourmaline is a cushion cut, concave faceted, 2.93 carat stone…and really something to see in person!
