We have a lot of Poultry coming in this week! and I wanted to let our Feed Mill family that our Special shipment of rare breed chicks might me a day late 😔. They have shipped but we're supposed to be here tomorrow. I left a tracking number in the photos if they do make it tomorrow. We also have Bronze and White turkey's coming with Guineas and a lot of different Layer Chicks from another Hatchery.

Happy Thanksgiving, folks!

As I walk around the Old Mill today, I'm not just thinking about inventory or feed sacks— I'm thinking about the incredible community that walks through our doors every day.
They say you can’t choose your family, but around here, we feel like we chose all of you. Whether you’ve been coming here for forty years or just bought your first few chicks this spring, you are the heartbeat of this store.
We know many of you started your morning early—breaking ice in the troughs, tossing extra hay, and making sure the critters were fed before you even thought about the turkey. That’s the kind of heart we are thankful for today.
May your plates be full, your coffee be hot, and your homes be filled with laughter.

I want to apologize for our lack of Baby Chick posts this spring. We had to take a step back from Chicks this year. We placed orders with our hatcheries back in the winter, and unfortunately, we were unable to fulfill some customers orders. We kept our prices as close as possible as last year but the Big box stores were able to reserve more than we could. Hopefully next year we will be more prepared!
