Today is World Health Day, a day that means more now than perhaps ever before.
Today we are one world, experiencing the same struggles and fighting the same fight for one simple outcome โ health.
Our health is just as much a physical state as it is a mental and emotional one and our wellbeing is perhaps more fragile a state than we ever knew.
To the heroes on the front lines of protecting and attending to our physical health, our nurses, doctors, scientists, first responders, caregivers, pharmacists, janitorial and sanitation workers, warehouse workers, and grocery clerks โ we thank you for keeping us comfortable, keeping us informed, and keeping us fed.
To the heroes supporting our mental and emotional health, our counselors, our family, our friends who call to check-in, and our social media networks posting helpful information and motivation โ we thank you for reminding us that physical distancing does not mean social isolation.
For the heroes staying home, thank you. On this world health day, feel empowered with the knowledge that you matter, that you have a huge impact on the world around you. During this time, focus within, on your health, on your wellbeing. Take the time to be present in this moment, think through what it is you might need or might be able to provide to someone else, and embrace your feelings as you acknowledge the wealth of emotions we are all experiencing during this unprecedented time.
Share your thoughts and feelings with us. On this very special World Health Day, we are .
