Despite the massive crash that the markets experienced, it hasn't slowed the influx of people pouring into the metals. This video was filmed on January 23rd, the markets crashed on the 30th. We've since had a small recovery and we seem to be holding steady, but this sort of volatility that we've experienced really is unusual and there is a very good chance that the volatility will continue. Boy, where to begin!? The market sure has been interesting and it has brough on a lot of new people getting into precious metals. We love to see new faces but it isn't all good. As well as seeing new faces, we've also seen a surge in counterfeits. You have to be cautious when purchasing metals from online marketplaces because if a deal sounds too good to be true (silver/gold under spot) it very likely is. You can always bring in metals to be tested at any local coin shop, our duty is to guide you and help you. We've made our mistakes in the past with a few counterfeit purchases of our own but we grow and learn from those mistakes and we'd like to help you to avoid those same mistakes. You might also want to watch our episode where we smash a counterfeit Rolex which was posted not too long ago.
