Balancing bench time with work, PT and a little yard work before my next show Whidbey Women + Art next weekend. The push for the studio tour was exhausting. I’ve been trying to take it a little bit slower.

Next up are ring tops for made to order bands. I’ve been thinking about doing this for a long time ~ not sure why I was procrastinating. Planning to get these done over the weekend. Wish me luck…

I’me excited to participate in the Whidbey Working Artists Studio Tour this year. It’s this weekend, and my time is running out to get ready. With so many artists on the tour, it’s going to be hard to decide which studios you visit. I hope studios 18-23 will be on your list.

Creativity isn’t linear…

These sweet little drop earrings evolved from a recent make with beach pebbles- see slide two. The ring band was going to have a rock focal, but that ammonite was begging to be used instead. The round earring tops on my bench pin were made for a different stone, but when they were done, they didn’t feel right together.

When you allow yourself to be in the flow state, magic happens.

Slow makes ~ sea inspired. beach pebbles and silver. fossilized coral with little silver limpets. all my first makes after falling in June. it’s been slow going this process of healing - trying to give myself grace, but it’s hard. things that used to be quick and easy gave me fits. I forgot things and had to deal with them after setting the stones. it was frustrating, but I think these turned out ok.

I’ll get these listed soon. DM me if you can’t wait.
