This isn’t easy for me to say. But I am making the decision to close my online store for the remainder of 2026.
I won’t be doing any Christmas launches. And I will only be selling my work at the markets we have on schedule for the remainder of the year.
Any FAIRE orders will be cancelled. And I am closing wholesale as well.
I am so thankful. I have to make sure to reiterate my gratitude! The fact that my work and art has been so loved to the point of hundreds and hundreds of online orders in a month, means I made something of value. And I am extremely grateful for all of those who support us!
It’s exciting to see my work be shipped across the country, and maybe one day I will do that again!
However I have been struggling horribly with my mental health this year.
When we went full time, my husband was let go of his job due to time he missed from Wolfie’s passing. An entirely unfair, unjust reason and if we hadn’t panicked - could have been a very good lawsuit. But we’re not like that - we just wanted to be rid of that situation.
So we dived into this full time. I applied and (thankfully) got into so many markets. I pushed online, we got lucky (in my opinion) and the online orders bridged us between markets, we were able to take our kids on vacation, and will have a 6 figure business year by the end of October. Insane. Never in my life did I expect this.
But, I am the only two hands that creates these pieces. Sure, Zachary does a lot. But as far as creating the pieces themselves - that’s all me.
I have been neglecting myself, my mom duties, and putting work above my family this year because I felt like I had to. It’s been unhealthy. And I have cried a lot.
I sit down at 7:30 am and I don’t get up until I go to bed at 10-11pm.
My kids have only had my full attention when I was on vacation with them. And outside of that I have been a tornado and chaotic and unable to focus on anything but work.
It’s not normal.
Maybe for a 20 something, no kids, maybe you’d THRIVE and want this. But I’m a grieving, 32 year old mother to 6 boys who are in many different stages of life. I chose to have these boys, they are my world. I look at them and I WANT to be ~
