General information

Although the club would be briefly touching on the economy and government of that particular country; it will also be exploring the hidden gems within that society eg: traditional medicines, marriage practices and the effect of taboos (superstitions) on contemporary society. The club main asset is our ability to heavily focus on family life within these cultures by being a part of that community. How do the roles of individuals play out in families? What are the gender relationships? How does poverty affect families? How do families or individuals who migrate into the United States adapt and relate to society?
