Just finished this custom 14kt white gold two princess cut diamonds in a by pass style ring with European shank base. The diamonds are channel between the rings upper by pass bars that curve around and form the ring's sides and Euro shank base. The two princess cuts weigh 1.01 in total weight, are FG in color and SI-1 to SI-2 in clarity. Clayton loved the hand made wax model. Sweet ring surprise for his lady!

Few months back we got in and set this pair of IGI lab grown emerald cut earrings. One diamond was 3.04 carat and the matching diamond was 3.03 carat. The total combined weight was 6.07 carats, they were E in color and VVS-2 in clarity. Emerald cut are rectangular in shape and have been cut with step cuts which is a type of cut with long, parallel facets and arranged like the steps of a staircase. They were set into 14kt white gold four prong rectangular basket earrings with friction posts. Barb just loved them.

Several people disguised as construction workers broke into the world-famous Louvre museum in Paris, cracking open display cases and stealing jewelry of "inestimable heritage and historical value."

The French Ministry of Culture released a list of eight items that they said had been stolen, which included two brooches, two diadems, two necklaces and two pairs of earrings.

We took Connie's husband Rob's ring, who passed away in March and turned it into a pendant for Connie. It contains .999, 21/2 Indian Head and Eagle coin. Surrounding the coin are 35 round brilliant cut diamonds with a .36/100 carat total weight. We cut off the rings shank and added a 16 inch conclave beveled curb chain to the coin to make the pendant. She loved it.

How sweet is this gem, Leda and the Swan maybe, no title given. Known as the Wallace Cut, this is a groundbreaking gem-carving technique pioneered by artist Wallace Chan in the 1980s. This method creates the illusion of a three-dimensional face or figure seemingly suspended within a transparent gemstone like this quartz amethyst. By blending techniques of cameo, intaglio, and internal faceting—all carved from within the stone—Chan achieves an effect that resembles a hologram.

Using a custom high-speed rotary tool he designed himself, Chan precisely engraves the gem from multiple angles, allowing a single face to appear multiplied depending on the viewer’s perspective. The result is hypnotic: an ethereal image that appears to float inside the crystal, shifting with every movement.

Widely regarded as one of the most technically and artistically complex innovations in modern gem sculpture, the Wallace Cut redefines what’s possible in jewelry art.

A canary yellow diamond, is a type of fancy yellow diamond, are renowned for their vibrant, intense yellow hue, often compared to the color of a canary bird. These diamonds are highly valued and can be quite expensive, often exceeding the price of colorless, flawless white diamonds.
The intense yellow color is due to trace amounts of nitrogen in the diamond's crystal structure.
Only about 1% of all mined diamonds are fancy yellow, and canary yellow is one of the more intense shades, making them quite rare.
Canary yellow diamonds can command high prices, ranging from around $2,500 to $20,000 or more per carat, depending on factors like quality, cut, and clarity. The first yellow diamond was discovered in 1867, and the diamond has been a symbol of wealth and luxury for centuries. How sweet is this information.

Pearls come a wide range of colors and are formed in mollusks like oysters and mussels, when an irritant becomes trapped inside their mantle. The pearl has a natural defense mechanism against the irritant that has entered its shell. This irritant can be anything from a tiny parasite, a piece of shell, or even a grain of sand (though parasites are more common in natural pearl formation than sand).
To protect its soft body from this intruder, the mollusk's mantle (the organ that produces the shell) begins to secrete layers of a substance called nacre. Nacre is composed of calcium carbonate (specifically aragonite) and a protein called conchiolin. These layers are laid down concentrically, one on top of the other, slowly encasing the irritant.
Over time, these smooth, iridescent layers build up, eventually forming the beautiful gem we know as a pearl. The more layers of nacre, the larger and more lustrous the pearl becomes.
It's truly a fascinating example of nature turning an annoyance into something incredibly valuable!

This fancy vivid blue cushion cut modified brilliant diamond weighs 10.03 carats. Labeled as the "Mediterranean Blue", the Mediterranean Blue was unearthed in South Africa as an impressive rough weighing 31.93 carats. After careful planning, followed by a cutting process that lasted well over half a year, the diamond was fashioned into the present 10.03 carat cushion-shaped diamond.
The Mediterranean Blue is a type IIb diamond which signifies that a small amount of the trace element boron is present in its chemical composition. Boron in turn contributes strongly to the blue appearance of the diamond's color. The Blue, sold for $21.5 million during Sotheby’s sale of high jewelry in Geneva on Tuesday, May 13th of 2025. How sweet is this beauty!
