70 years ago today, Disneyland and I were born.
Yes, the whole world is upside down, on fire and nothing makes any sense, but I have chosen to focus on gratitude and that keeps me grounded. I am so incredibly blessed to have a beautiful family that I love and cherish so dearly. My husband, Michael, who has been the ultimate cheerleader from day one, my best friend and advisor through thick and thin, through ups and downs. I remember telling you 43 years ago all I wanted was to grow old with you, and here we are. My children and beautiful granddaughter bring me so much pride and joy and I love them beyond measure. And they truly love and appreciate me. What more could a parent ask for?
I am so grateful for a career that has taken me places I never would have seen and introduced me to the most beautiful, special people and cherished friends I never would have met without it. These are my extraordinary gifts in life.
I am so grateful to have spent 38 treasured years with my beautiful angel Erin. She showed me by example that no matter how bad or undesirable a situation becomes, we always have the opportunity to practice virtue. We don’t control when things get hard, but we can choose to be shaped, not shattered by life’s struggles. The things that test us make us who we are. There was a time I would have complained about being this age, but now I embrace every minute, every day, every small gesture of kindness, the love and the laughter. Erin would have given anything to make it to 40, so I am reminded by her spirit every single day that life is indeed a gift. And I am here to breathe it all in. Let’s all celebrate happy. Cheers!🥂
