Message From Our Founder

Dear Concerned Investor:
My name is Silvano DiGenova and I have been involved in the rare coin and precious metals business for over 40 years. I’m a self-made man who at a young age took hold of the American dream by turning my passion into my business. I have made my fortune by assisting others in profiting in coins and precious metals, and wish to share my expertise wi

th others. I was fundamental in two dramatic changes that greatly assisted investor’s, certified grading and electronic trading of coins and precious metals. (Co-founder of both the Professional Coin Grading Service and Certified Coin Exchange). I have shown thousands of investor’s ways to profit. My recommendations, unlike most in our field, have not always been BUY recommendations but often SELL recommendations. I have been a guardian of my clients’ money, and tied my fortune to their gains. In 1999 we strongly recommended selling pre-1964 junk silver coin when the premiums reached 100%. We had countless individuals switch to 100 oz. bars when the hysteria dictated they needed “Barter Money”. Our clients doubled their silver position and profited hugely!! Today many are investing in stocks like Amazon and Facebook that trade at PE’s of 600 and 116 respectively. These are pre- “dot.com” bubble multiples. The Fed is printing money like never before. Our National Debt has tripled since 2000 and now tops $17 Trillion, a number so large virtually no one can comprehend it. Our Debt is greater than the GDP of all the European Union countries combined. That’s England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain…, and twenty-three more countries. When the “smart money” like Hedge Fund managers and billionaire investors are diversifying into gold, and when countries like China, India and OPEC nations are hoarding the precious metal, is it not time to take a closer look? Many consumers have nearly all of their investments in paper assets such as stocks and money market funds (I personally also have some of these types of assets). However in today’s environment diversification is not only wise but essential. In the pages that follow we will illustrate that the stock market has frequent and severe corrections. It is precisely during these times that gold and tangibles are the saving grace. Tangibles even out the fluctuations and provide insurance against such turmoil. We at Tangible Investments specialize in these hard assets. We can provide you with tax free exchange into gold and precious metals IRAS. We can offer you pre-1933 U.S. gold for direct delivery, which offers private portable and liquid diversification for your portfolio. We have sold some of the greatest American rarities which have performed astronomically. We are here to serve you and our experienced staff is always available. Sincerely,

Silvano DiGenova

From a childhood coin collector to “The King of Collectibles.” 👑

What started at just 10 years old became a career that helped transform the rare coin market.

This month, Silvano DeGenova and Tangible Investments are featured in Laguna Beach Magazine in an in-depth story about the journey behind one of the most recognized names in rare coins and collectibles.

From his first coin show in 1977 to helping launch PCGS and changing how collectors buy, sell, authenticate, and invest in rare coins, Silvano’s story is about more than coins—it’s about building trust in a market where authenticity and knowledge matter.

Today, Tangible Investments continues that tradition from our flagship gallery in Laguna Beach, specializing in rare coins, precious metals, fine jewelry, art, antiques, and other exceptional collectibles.

Only 5 to 6 of these are known to exist.

This 1872 Trade Dollar Pattern (Judd 1220) carries William Barber's take on the Indian Princess design, one of his finest engraving achievements. PCGS graded PR64 Cameo, with frosted devices and pale golden toning that shifts in the light.

Its pedigree traces back to the legendary Harry W Bass Jr Collection, one of the most respected names in American numismatics. A tiny planchet flake near the G in GRAINS confirms it as the exact Bass specimen.

Pieces like this rarely surface.

Retail is $36,000.

Own An Unparalleled Masterpiece! 🦅✨

The 1907 $20 High Relief Wire Edge St. Gaudens Double Eagle is not just a coin. It is the meeting point of art and history, born from the collaborative vision of Theodore Roosevelt and Augustus Saint Gaudens.

Struck during a brief and extraordinary moment when American coinage rivaled the medallic art of the Renaissance masters, this High Relief design pushed the U.S. Mint beyond anything it had attempted before. Its deeply sculptured devices and striking artistry set it apart from every other coin the United States has ever produced.

Numismatic authority David Akers called it "the most beautiful coin the United States ever issued for normal circulation," noting the exceptional lustre and rich greenish gold color found on well preserved examples like this one.

This particular specimen is graded PCGS MS66, Type 1 High Relief, with a mintage of only 11,250 and a PCGS population of just 80 coins at this grade or higher out of 30 finer. A true masterpiece of American coinage with timeless elegance few collections will ever hold.

Finest Known.

The 1895 Barber Dime PCGS MS67+ CAC. Priced at $17,500.

A better date with only 690,000 minted and most surviving examples heavily worn from circulation. This one is different. Shimmering frosty luster, original lilac gray, yellow gold and sea green toning, and a strike so sharp every corn kernel is fully delineated.

The CAC population confirms it.

This is the finest known example in existence.

A MS67 sold at auction for $16,200. This is a MS67+.

At this grade and rarity, the finest known does not stay available for long.

🔥 STUNNING CONDITION RARITY 🔥

1864 $1 Liberty Seated Dollar PCGS MS65 CAC

Mintage: 30,700

PCGS Population: 6/4

CAC Population: 5/0

Retail: $79,500

An extraordinary opportunity for the advanced collector of Liberty Seated coinage. This 1864 Silver Dollar stands among the finest known examples of a date that is both historically significant and exceptionally elusive in Gem condition.

Struck during the height of the American Civil War, the 1864 Seated Dollar saw little to no domestic circulation. As noted by renowned numismatist Q. David Bowers, most examples were exported overseas because their bullion value had risen to approximately $1.04, exceeding their face value. Many were shipped to China for use in international trade, while only a small number remained in the United States. Some found their way into circulation in the American West, where paper money was often distrusted and silver coinage remained the preferred medium of exchange.

Today, surviving Mint State examples are exceptionally scarce. PCGS has graded only 32 coins of this issue in Mint State across all grades, highlighting just how difficult these Civil War era dollars are to find in original high grade condition.

This specimen is fully brilliant with booming Mint luster, a razor sharp strike, and outstanding eye appeal. A few minor marks are all that separate it from an even higher grade, yet they do nothing to diminish the remarkable quality of this superior Gem.

From 2001 through 2024, only nine examples graded PCGS MS65 have appeared at public auction and only two of those were awarded the coveted CAC sticker. With a CAC population of just five coins and none finer, this piece represents a true condition rarity within one of the most challenging and desirable classic American silver dollar series.

A remarkable survivor from one of the most pivotal years in American history. A coin that combines rarity, beauty, and long term investment appeal.

Would you add this Civil War era rarity to your collection?

1926D Mercury Dime PCGS MS67FB Pop 6/1

Breathtaking. Beautiful. Inspired.

This work of sculptural art by Adolph Weinman is considered one of the most attractive designs in American numismatics. When you buy a coin, you want one of the very finest. This is it.

PCGS has graded just 6 examples MS67FB. One coin grades finer. That is the entire universe.

And the toning. Iridescent splashes of russet, aquamarine, lemon yellow, gold, and burnt orange upon a small metallic canvas. Nature spent a century creating this. It shows.

Art historian Cornelius Vermeule wrote that Weinman's dime "takes its place as the first individual and imaginative design for this small denomination in American numismatic art.

"Stunningly beautiful. Condition rarity. Spectacular rainbow toning. Serious investment potential.

This is not hyperbole. This is numismatic history in hand.
