Mood Beads were a new and interesting kind of jewelry in the 1970s and became one of the biggest fads of the decade to hit the market. It was the first piece of jewelry that could supposedly define the mood of the person. inal form of mood rings. We have necklaces, earrings, bracelets, clips and charms. Our mood beads consist of either a hollow piece of glass filled with liquid thermo tropic crystals, or a clear glass stone that sits on a sheet of liquid crystals. These crystals reflect different wavelengths of light based on the body temperature of the person who is wearing it. The stone then changes color according to the body temperature. Why Mood Beads work, we really don’t know… but what we DO know, is they are fun and funky and the perfect gift for someone who has everything! We know that not everyone’s body temperature is the same in certain situations; and the color may not change exactly the color listed on our chart… but that does not mean you can’t have fun with it!
