So a good friend of mine came to me last year to design and make an engagement ring and wedding band that his soon to be wife would love and would last for generations. Not only that, but to make his wedding band! No small task by any stretch of the imagination, but one that is within my skill set without a doubt.
She had a style in mind and knew a rough idea of what she wanted; diamonds, white gold and a princess cut main stone. She provided examples of her likes and dislikes. I took her vision and ran with it! I sketched my version of her ideas so that I could share them and make sure we were on the same page and she absolutely loved what I created!
He had a few simple requirements; meteorite, white gold and diamonds. Also, to somehow encorporate the number 5 into his wedding band as it's an important number to them for a variety of personal reasons. Meteorite, if you don't know, is nature's version of damascus and literally takes hundreds of millions of years to form. The patterns in meteorite are like a fingerprint; there will never be one exactly the same anywhere in the universe.
I delivered their rings back in April and man; what a great reveal that was! We got to share a meal, beverages, stories and laughs before a large life change for them. It always blows my mind going from a discussion, to a sketch, to a CAD design to a finished set of rings. Knowing that I took all of their ideas and made custom heirloom Jewelery that will always make them smile will never cease to make me happy!
Fast forward to today; they just got married and were able to share some pictures and they couldn't be happier! It means a lot to me to be a part of making something custom that no one else has, to be a part of the beginning of a family that will impact the world for decades and centuries to come. These are heirloom quality rings that will be on this earth for generations.
Side note, their furry ring bearer was handsome AF! Congratulations to you both on your nuptials and the beginning of the rest of your lives together! Thanks for trusting FITFO Designs with this monumental task, this is what I live for!
