Welcome to my shop! My name is Sherri, and I've been making artisan bead, jewelry, bath, and body items since 1997. Growing up in the Midwest, I've always had a fascination with stones, and over the years have collected many beautiful slabs for freeform cabochons. When I took a class for lampworked beads, I fell in love with hot glass and all the glorious colors and effects that could be achieved with a glass rod and torch. Being artistic by nature, and needing a creative outlet, I started to create a few jewelry pieces for myself combining these loves with various metals and Swarovski crystal. Along the way, I also became fascinated with the soap-making process, loving the way my skin felt after using detergent free soaps, and enjoying the process of creating new and unique scent blends. As time went on, I began creating complimentary items, such as bath bombs and other bath and body luxuries.
More recently I’ve become interested in the textile arts as well. My mother has been a rug weaver and quilter for over 35 years, and though it took her a few years, she’s finally taught me that there is something very special about the peaceful, almost zen, head space you can achieve when dressing the looms and feeling the different textures of the yarns and fibers used. Eventually, I started getting requests from family and friends to make more and more items for them. In 1997 I began selling my creations at craft and artisan fairs. Now I'm offering some of my favorite creations to you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
